Administrative law is the branch of law that regulates the functioning of public administration, the powers and responsibilities of public institutions and officials. This branch of law includes the rules that determine the administrative structure and activities of the state, the provision of public services and the relations between citizens and the state.

Administrative law generally covers the following topics:

Structure and functioning of public institutions: Establishment and duties of the central and local government bodies of the state.

Administrative Transactions: The decision-making process of public institutions and the legal nature of these decisions.

Status of Public Officials: Rights, duties and responsibilities of civil servants.

Public Services: Regulation of services provided by the state such as health, education and transportation.

Administrative Judiciary: Lawsuits filed against the actions of the administration and their judgment.
