As ŞAHİN LAW FIRM (“Company”), acting in the capacity of data controller, we hereby provide you with the following information within the scope of our obligation to inform, in order to ensure that we act in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Law (“Law”) regarding the personal data obtained from our clients/potential clients.

Purposes for Which Personal Data Will Be Processed

Your personal data may be collected physically and electronically in accordance with the fundamental principles stipulated in the Law and the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law, due to your status as a client of the Company, for reasons stipulated by law and for the performance of the contractual relationship, within the framework of conducting our activities and operating and improving our services.

The following personal data that you provide to this website (collectively referred to as “Your Data”);

  • Data relating to your visit to and use of the website,

    (Data such as your IP address, geographical location, web browser type, referral source, duration of your visit and number of page/content views during your visit to our website)

  • Data relating to all transactions and activities carried out through the website

Are processed by the Company for the following purposes;

To Whom and for What Purposes the Processed Personal Data May Be Transferred

Your collected Data may be transferred to dealers, suppliers, legally authorised public institutions and private persons for the purposes explained in Article 2 of this Clarification Notice, within the framework of the personal data processing conditions and purposes specified in Articles 5 and 6 of the Law and limited to the purposes specified in the Personal Data Protection and Processing Policy prepared by the Data Controller and published at www.sahin.law and in this Clarification Notice. In addition, your personal data may be transferred within the framework of Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, provided that the necessary security measures are taken and that the transfer is limited to the purposes stated in this Clarification Notice.

Security of Personal Data

As the data controller, the Company has undertaken responsibility for establishing the necessary organisation and taking and adapting the required technical measures to protect the confidentiality and integrity of information in accordance with the provisions of the applicable legislation. In line with our obligation in this regard, we hereby inform you that we periodically update our data processing policies.
The necessary measures will be taken to prevent the loss, misuse and alteration of your personal information and opinions. However, since data transmission over the internet is inherently insecure, we cannot guarantee the security of such data during its transmission over the internet. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. The website administration cannot access your password without your knowledge and consent.

Method and Legal Basis for Collecting Personal Data

Your Data may be collected through automated or non-automated means for the performance of the contractual relationship or for other reasons stipulated by law. Your Data is collected by the Company through the Company on the legal grounds necessary to fulfil the purposes specified in Article 2 of this Clarification Notice, in relation to your disclosure of Your Data to us.

Your Data collected on these legal grounds may be processed by the Company without obtaining your explicit consent pursuant to Articles 5/2-c and 5/2-e of the Law, where the processing of personal data belonging to the parties to a contract is necessary, provided that it is directly related to the establishment or performance of the contract, and where data processing is necessary for the legitimate interests of the Company, provided that it does not prejudice your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Based on your explicit consent, Your Data may also be processed and transferred pursuant to Article 5/1 of the Law for the purposes specified in Articles 2 and 3 of this Clarification Notice.

Rights of the Data Subject

Pursuant to Article 11 of the Law, an employee whose personal data is processed may apply to ŞAHİN LAW FIRM and submit requests concerning the following matters:

  • Learning whether their personal data is being processed,
  • Requesting information if their personal data has been processed,
  • Learning the purpose for which their personal data is processed and whether it is being used in accordance with that purpose,
  • Knowing the third parties to whom their personal data has been transferred within Türkiye or abroad,
  • Requesting the correction of personal data if it has been processed incompletely or inaccurately and requesting that the action taken in this regard be communicated to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  • Requesting the deletion, destruction or anonymisation of personal data where the reasons requiring its processing no longer exist and requesting that the action taken in this regard be communicated to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred,
  • Objecting to the occurrence of a result against the data subject through the analysis of processed data exclusively by automated systems,
  • Requesting compensation for damages arising from the unlawful processing of personal data.
